Hello and Welcome!

I’m Carina, 23 years old and from Cologne, Germany. I have a big passion for doing sports (like swimming and workouts), travelling, hiking, experiencing and seeing as much as possible and I absolutely love to write.

For years it has been my dream to go to Australia (where I then lost my heart) as an au pair after graduating from school, which I realized. My great interest in writing and my year in Australia is the reason why I decided to run this blog.

During my time in Australia I realized how much I love travelling. But because of Corona I returned back to Germany in March 2020 and started studying in Germany.

In the meantime, I have a degree in journalism. I interrupted my studies in media studies and social sciences to return to Australia. My plan was never to go back to Australia as soon as the borders open, but because I had the unique chance to re-apply for the Working Holiday Visa I made the decision in less than 24 hours to do another Work and Travel stay.

In the category Au Pair I gave you an insight into my life as an au pair in 2019: From the first application, about a lot of Skype conversations, my host family, my everyday life and of course the story of how everything ended after nothing worked out as planned.
